Salt Water Sisters

As I painted Salt Water Sisters, I kept returning to the feeling of letting go. Allowing ourselves to be carried rather than always trying to force a direction.

There is something about water, and the sea in particular, that naturally brings me back to that feeling. It quiets the noise, holds us, softens what feels heavy and invites us to surrender.

The mermaids came to embody that sense of trust for me. Floating together and feeling completely at ease in their surroundings. A reminder that we don't always have to know exactly where we are going. Sometimes, we can simply let ourselves be carried for a while and trust where the current takes us.

May it bring some of that same softness and calm into your home.

𓇼 I’m happy to offer payment in instalments if that makes collecting the piece easier for you. You can pay in three monthly instalments. The first payment reserves the painting for you, and it ships once the final payment has cleared.
